My name is Bert Wright - I'm originally from Nashville, Tennessee, where I attended MaGavock Elementary and MaGavock High School, graduating in 1975 - joined the US Navy in 1976, Honorably discharged in 1980 and studied Electrical Engineering at TTU in Cookeville, Tennessee, until going to work for a major Aerospace Company in the mid '80s. 

I am NOT an expert on Tarantulas, nor do I profess to be an expert - but I do know animals and I am continuing to learn about  them.  I have gained considerable knowledge about the Tarantula and I am amazed at how much there is STILL to learn about these creatures.  I will share some of the basic information about Tarantulas on this website - this is an ongoing 'work- in - progress' process and this website is always UNDER CONSTRUCTION. 

I have been keeping tarantulas for years and I have dozens of these fascinating creatures - they are INDEED one of the most misunderstood animals in existence - they are, to be sure, AMAZING Animals!  There is a lot to learn of these amazing creatures, and they DO make great pets.  Granted, there are SOME tarantula species that make LESS than favorable pets, nonetheless, ALL tarantulas are key to the balance of nature because they can help control some of the more dangerous invertebrates and play a major role in God's grand scheme.
